1. 28% of Forbers’ 40 richest African Entrepreneurs are Nigerians: Nigerians unarguably are hardworking and result oriented. No wonder a huge percentage of Forbes richest African entrepreneurs including the likes of Alakija and Dangote among many others make the list of Africa’s richest entrepreneurs.

2. Nigeria is the third largest English speaking nation in the world after India and the USA: Nigeria as a developing nation given independence by the British over 56 years ago still predominantly speak English Language of the colonial masters. Despite the numerous number of local languages in Nigeria, many Nigerian youths find it difficult to speak their local languages. Many speak English Language only!

3.The Longest Bridge in Africa: The third mainland bridge in Lagos State connecting Lagos Island to the mainland is the longest bridge in Africa and it measures about 11.8km. Talk about the giant of Africa.
  
4. Abundant Arable land: 33% of Nigeria’s land is arable: Some say, Nigeria is a land flowing with milk and honey. You may not dispute this fact as 33% of Nigeria’s land is suitable for Agriculture. One wonders when exactly, the economy diversification into Agriculture production will actually start and government officials will stop the talking and start the ‘doing’.

5. Nigeria is home to seven percent (7%) of the total languages spoken on earth: Nigeria’s local languages numbers over 400 with Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa as the major ones. Many Nigerians are however are unaware that there are many more local languages than they can think of. Taraba state alone has more languages than 30 local languages.

6. Nigeria is the third largest movie industry after Bollywood and Hollywood: Nigeria’s entertainment industry is booming as the day goes by. Despite the threat of piracy, Nollywood still stands tall as the third largest movies industry in the world.


7. Nigeria is 8th most populous country in the world: Nigeria’s population is increasing as the day goes by. Despite economic recession, hunger and complain of ‘no money,’ ‘we are suffering,’ the population, never stop increasing. This probably explains why you must find a Nigerian in almost every country you visit in the world.Even a country that is just created today, you will find a Nigerian there!

8. Lagos State's Huge GDP: The GDP of Lagos state alone is equivalent to that of Ivory Coast, Senegal and Cameroon combined.
